How does the Skoda Octavia Vrs compare too the police version?

I would like to buy a Vrs some time this year but I've always been curious to know what the difference is between the Vrs you buy and the police version. Does anyone know what the difference is between the two such as power and top speeds? honest and serious answers only please cheers!|||Contrary to popular belief, police cars in the UK are standard production, or lower spec than standard. they are not performance enhanced and never have been.





The standard Octavia VRS will be better equipped than the police version with the same performance.





If you look at many performance police cars, you will see that they come without various extras, like sunroofs for example, they were standard on Cosworth Sierra's, the police cars didn't have them.





The only upgrade in my experience, were the brakes on Volvo T5's, they were bigger in police spec due to the weight they had to carry.

Yes police cars are serviced more regular, but having driven them over thirty years, I wouldn't buy one to keep chickens in!|||Police cars are not modified in any way except sometimes they fit a more powerful alternator to run all the extra electrics and bits but other than that just as you can buy them .





Yes police cars are serviced very often but they also have many drivers whom do not give a hoot as to how they drive them ! buy one never ! Just think of all the drunks that may have puked in the back or the flea ridden tramps they may have carried over the years let alone the ones who have peed their pant when they were caught and arrested , buy a ex police car think very careful first !|||With the extra weight, and the aerodynamic issues from the extra lights and signs, will cause the Police model to lose some performance.|||The major difference will be that the cop version will have been serviced more often so if you can buy one at a Police auction do so.|||Not too sure if true but I actually seen a 2.2 Vectra ex-police car for sale which was 190bhp. The same car standard is only 150bhp.
