What Does vRS Mean In The Skoda Range?

I know this question has been posted before but was talking about this recently and I heard quite a few other rumours as what has already been mentioned of what vRS means.

Any offers|||There are several definitions of what the 'v' means in the Skoda vRS range

Version and Volkswagen are the most popular guesses.

But I have a Fabia vRS and looked on the the Briskoda site.

Apparently Skoda in their early years named one of their cars RS because of its racing pedigree.

Now people think Ford first came out with this logo. When Ford got to hear that Skoda was going to badge their cars RS they took Skoda to court!

Apparently the judge (or whatever) looked into Skodas past racing pedigree and history and indeed did rule in favour in Skoda using the RS logo.

But to just rubs Fords nose in it they put a v in front of the RS.

The 'v' stands for victory. But not for their racing victories but for the victory over Ford in the court case.

If you lose a court case (I think) in the UK then you have to pay the winning parties legal and court costs. Just imagine how much this amounted to?

Hope this helped

P.S., One of the rumours of the 'v' is Skoda owners sticking up their fingers to Ford (Nice one eh!)|||it means in laymans terms,VERY FAST. on the par with a golf GT.|||the spec|||vehicular Rusted Skip.. Lol.

(sorry, they're good cars now..) :)|||version Rally Sport.
