The Octavia is based on the Golf platform, so is closer in size to the Ford Focus saloon and estate. The new Mondeo is much larger.
Also the Octavia's suspension is tuned for comfort, while the Mondeo's is tuned more for driver involvement.|||Skoda is better.And cheaper.|||na because the new scoda is is made out of cake and + fords are more reliable|||if you are talking of the new mondeo that was launched this year then it outstrips the bmw and audi which clearly puts the octavia in its place,i am waiting to take delivery of new mondeo in sept on 57 plate when my car is ready|||i have not driven or worked on the new mondeo yet but from what i have seem and read Ford looked to have lifted their game with this car, i am told that because they no longer have a Granada top of the range large car the mondeo would be improved to such an extent that it would be use as a cross over car good enough to get back their top end customers.
