How do I drain oil from a Skoda Octavia?

We have over filled the oil on our Skoda Octavia and so need to drain some of the oil away. How do we locate the oil sump drain?|||How about tipping the car over and pouring the oil back into the container. However, this would require either superhuman strength, or a lot of friends. And a very good aim would be needed.

Or...the oil would evaporate over time. You could leave the cap off and wait........

......when do you need to use the car next?

Would your vacuum cleaner attachment fit in there....maybe no, sounds too messy.

Failing that, you could try getting a Haynes manual.... www.haynes.co.uk|||With your mouth and a hose pipe. It's the only way you'll get it...|||its ok skodas probably drain oil thereselves.|||It's on the bottom of the engine!|||Hefty metal plug at the lowest part of the sump, in turn the lowest aprt of the engine.|||it is too much.or just over fill the max level at the oil checker bar.if it just over the max level,it ok no big problem.just drive on.|||skodas burn so much oil the level will go down on its own.|||Colin M is right... but wow. You should recieve some instruction on this stuff, or study up on it FIRST. Bad mechanic work can get real expensive real quick!|||Get someone who knows what they are doing or it could get very messy and expensive|||17 mm bolt head on rear of bottom of engine.make sure engine is not hot b 4 draining it off %26amp; being careful not to lose sealing washer off the sump plug.|||Drive over a large speed-hump at about 40mph,

that should do the trick.

It worked for me %26amp; my Van
